Evony Age 2 strategy, guides, wiki and browser game tips
Defensive Players: For those who prioritize survival above all else such as turtles – or simply have other focuses in the game than attacking – like the diplomat.
Casual Defensive Players: For those that farm npc’s once a day at most.
Troops:
Archers: 50,000 per town
Ballistas: Just enough to farm npc’s
Cataphracts: 0
Catapults: 100 per town (for layering)
Cavalry: 2,000 per town
Pikes: 1,000 per town (for layering)
Transports: Just enough to farm npc’s
Rams: 100 per town (for layering)
Scouts: 1,000 per town
Swords: 1,000 per town (for layering)
Warriors: 1,000 per town (for layering)
Workers: 250 (to make new towns/npc’s)
That should be just barely enough to make enemies think twice about attacking you with basic forces, but scout bombs and cavalry can take you out without difficulty in the later stages of the server. You aren’t likely to be scouting anyone – the scouts are there for people whose gates are closed, and for valley wars. The small number of cavalry is for assisting allies in zeroing enemy towns that have been wiped.
Active Defensive Players: For those that farm npc’s 2 times a day.
Troops:
Archers: 100,000 per town
Ballistas: Just enough to farm npc’s
Cataphracts: 0
Catapults: 100 per town (for layering)
Cavalry: 2,000 per town
Pikes: 1,000 per town (for layering)
Transports: Just enough to farm npc’s
Rams: 100 per town (for layering)
Scouts: 1,000+ per town
Swords: 1,000 per town (for layering)
Warriors: 1,000 per town (for layering)
Workers: 250 (to make new towns/npc’s)
A step up above casual, but still vulnerable to higher level attacks such as scout bombs and cavalry. With layers intact and a high enough attack hero, however, cavalry attacks can be stopped in their tracks. Any additional resources you can muster should be put into scouts to make it difficult for others to see what you have. Be sure not to spread them thin, however, as this will not deter enemies as effectively as placing them all in one vulnerable town. Again, the small number of cavalry is for assisting allies in zeroing enemy towns that have been wiped.
Hardcore Defensive Players: For those that farm npc’s 3 or more times a day.
Troops:
Archers: 200,000+ per town
Ballistas: 5,000 per town
Cataphracts: 0
Catapults: 1000 per town (for layering)
Cavalry: 2,000 per town
Pikes: 1,000 per town (for layering)
Transports: Just enough to farm npc’s
Rams: 100 per town (for layering)
Scouts: 150,000+ per town
Swords: 1,000 per town (for layering)
Warriors: 1,000 per town (for layering)
Workers: 250 (to make new towns/npc’s)
This is the ideal setup for diplomats and turtles – it’ll take a monumental effort to take you down with defenses like that. Attacking you won’t even be on the table for most enemies. You should spam npc’s as much as time allows to get your troop levels high as possible. As a defensive player, you will not need to rebuild troops often, unless under constant attack. Because of this, you can build close to the wire in terms of food. Again, the small number of cavalry is for assisting allies in zeroing enemy towns that have been wiped.
This is horrible advice do not listen to it
Seriously you think that that small amount would last 30 minutes if i was next to it? LOL Dude it would go down like a house of cards set on fire!
Here’s what you need if you want to turtle. Casual players, just understand your going to get own like (well you know)! LOL
Just to have a chance if your not on line defense:
Workers = 20,000+
Warriors = 250,000+
Scouts = 400,000+
Pike = 100,000+
Sword = 150,000+
Archers = 150,000+
Cavlary = 25,000+
Cataphracts = 10,000+
Ballista = 8,000+
Transports = 6,000 (enough to farm and transport stuff)
Rams = 1,000 (for layering)
Catapults = 1,000 (for layering)
This will buy you up to 1 hour if the enemy is next to you and has a big army and up to 2-3 hours if he is 20 miles away, and longer if he is further away. This will not stop several players from taking you down quick, fast, and in a hurry!
But, if your off line and have a life it just may save your city and give you a chance to log on and save it! Key is having several cities to draw resources and a good alliance to send reinforcements. Remember thou, an alliance won’t invest reinforcements once your wall defensess go down, those troops can be killed very easily without wall defenses (AT’s at least 15-17K lvl 10 walls). Also build over 1,000 abatis and 1,000 traps. Takes the enemy a dozen hits or more to get through that type layering. They can’t take your city until all your wall defenses and troops are dead. So give your city a fighting chance! And yes, have a hero 200 attack or more. That way they can’t beat you with junk heros. They have to send the good stuff (big heros). I have caught more than my fair share of people attacking me, just as I sign on. And when I see the big hero coming, I get rid of my worst hero and wait until his hit dies and take his big hero. Can’t persuade it, takes to much so I just dismiss them. Oh, yea I do tell the guy I got his big hero and just dismissed it! Hey, they get mad as you know what, but that’s the price you pay for attacking me!
They love the Gremlin on my server! LOL. Yes sir, you can believe that, they call me every name in the book. But, hey, all is fair in love and war! So never play fair, cause the other guy won’t either! Kick em you know where, just point your big toe in the right direction and swing it with all your might. Send them to there knees crying. Had one big credit card guy lose a 574 attack hero to me. When I told him what he done, he went ballistic on how much it cost him to get a hero like that. I just sent: LOL, hehehe!
He then promised to destroy me, by that time my alliance had heavily reinforced me. Acutally I didn’t dismiss his big hero, I was giving away a city I had built in exchange for a lvl 10 and I put the big hero 574 attack in the city I was giving away to this guy who had a ton of medals to persuade him and was a Prinzissan. So he got his big hero. I then became the hero of my alliance, lol. That big credit card guy has never been the same, he only has 3 cities now. And I wiped 2 of his 9 cities when I became a Prinzissan. Got to love renenge, how sweet it is, in the early morning. I hope he was a early riser, cause I left him a real nice message! LOL
