Foot troops are the Evony units you start with, and also the type of unit you will most likely have the most of. Foot troops are the cheapest units to build in Evony, and they come in 6 different types. The warrior is the cheapest and fastest attack troop to build in Evony, and cause of the it is often called the suicide troop. They are extremely quick to train so it’s definitely a popular troop type to mass produce and use for suicide attacks. The warriors are often used to get rid of enemy fortifications in a suicide attack before you send your real army in there. Often players also kill their warriors on other players to get rid of their honor points, and you also use warriors in your rainbow attacks for layering. Read more
The rainbow attack has been discussed a lot when it comes to Evony combat mechanics. Basically a rainbow attack is an attack with one main army type and 50 – 1,000 troops of each other type you have available, usually not including siege weapons as they are too slow. You don’t want to use less than 50, as they may be killed off in traps before they reach the enemy troops and then they will loose their purpose. The purpose of including them is to make the enemy troops busy for one round so that the main type of your army can either reach the enemies without being damaged, or fire at the enemy without taking damage themselves for several rounds.
