Evony Age 2 Beta

It is kind of hard to log in to Evony Age 2 Beta as there is only room for 10,000 players on the server. With 18 million Evony players it’s easy to understand that the Age 2 server is filling up quickly. There are tons of new cool features for Evony Age 2 like achievements, stratagems, new layout, hero gear, colonization and other stuff. I hope you are able to get on to the server cause it’s a lot of fun. If you don’t manage to get in to Evony Age 2 today you could try again tomorrow. They said in the forum that they would be deleting inactives every 24 hours.

Scouts

The scout is a very useful unit in Evony and you want to have several of these in each of your cities all the time. They are weak when it comes to attack and defense but their main purpose is to do scouting missions to figure out your enemies strength, and they also defend you against other players scouting your cities.

Scouts are also used in the popular scout bomb attack. This is a suicide attack where you send 100k scouts at a very well defended city to take out some of their archers. Due to the scouts high speed it can reach the enemy archers without getting killed by other troops, sometimes taking out as many as 30k enemy archers before dying. Read more

Evony rainbow attack and layering

The rainbow attack has been discussed a lot when it comes to Evony combat mechanics. Basically a rainbow attack is an attack with one main army type and 50 – 1,000 troops of each other type you have available, usually not including siege weapons as they are too slow. You don’t want to use less than 50, as they may be killed off in traps before they reach the enemy troops and then they will loose their purpose. The purpose of including them is to make the enemy troops busy for one round so that the main type of your army can either reach the enemies without being damaged, or fire at the enemy without taking damage themselves for several rounds.
