Scouts

The scout is a very useful unit in Evony and you want to have several of these in each of your cities all the time. They are weak when it comes to attack and defense but their main purpose is to do scouting missions to figure out your enemies strength, and they also defend you against other players scouting your cities.

Scouts are also used in the popular scout bomb attack. This is a suicide attack where you send 100k scouts at a very well defended city to take out some of their archers. Due to the scouts high speed it can reach the enemy archers without getting killed by other troops, sometimes taking out as many as 30k enemy archers before dying.
